DAY

01 The Retreat by Heaven

The Retreat by Heaven is Kigali’s first eco-friendly resort. It features solar electricity, organic toiletries, locally crafted furniture made from sustainable teak wood, outdoor showers, private terraces, a yoga and meditation room, a spa, a large heated saltwater swimming pool with jacuzzi and diving rocks, and an open-air fitness center.

Mount Gahinga Lodge

Located on the Ugandan side of the Virunga Mountains, Mount Gahinga Lodge is a picturesque base to experience gorilla and golden monkey trekking as well as providing access to the ancient Batwa culture.
The lodges’ eight beautiful hand-built bandas and main areas are inspired by traditional design and building techniques; reflecting the magic of the aesthetic traditions of the Bufimbira people.
