DAY

01

Arrival in Kenya

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met by a representative and assisted in your transfer to Wilson Airport, where you’ll board your flight to the Masai Mara.
Your drive to Naboisho Camp allows you to see the Kenyan landscape as it passes by – and if you’re lucky, you may even spot wildlife as you go.
After a warm Asilia welcome from the camp staff at Naboisho, you’ll have time to freshen up before enjoying sundowners, followed by a delicious dinner.

02

Game viewing in the Masai Mara

The famed Greater Masai Mara is a land of big skies and wide open plains dotted with the quintessential flat-topped African acacia trees. It’s also big cat country, and you’re likey to spot lion, leopard, and cheetah on their hunt, as well as a vast array of other wildlife species.
When you’re not out exploring the plains, relax at camp and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the African bush while you read or soak up the sun beside the pool.

03

Safari at Naboisho

Enjoy more game viewing today, perhaps even on foot with your guide, who will share fascinating insights into the intricacies and nuances of the bush. You could also opt for an early start and a hot-air balloon safari over the Mara at daybreak – this breathtaking experience culminates with breakfast in the bush.
The Naboisho Conservancy is a model example of the good that can come from working with local communities to build conservation economies in which they are key stakeholders. Speak to your guide about participating in cultural activities and visiting nearby community projects.

04

Fly to Entebbe

Enjoy breakfast before your flight from the Mara to Entebbe in Uganda. You’ll then take a short flight from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip, where you’ll be met and transferred by car to Bwindi Lodge.
After a day of travelling, settle in at your new accommodation and enjoy some time taking in the view over Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with the gentle sound of the nearby stream.
Turn in after dinner for a good night’s rest in preparation for your first excursion into the forest.

DAY

05

Gorilla trekking in the forest

Your day begins early with breakfast and a safety briefing before you embark on your gorilla trek through the densely forested hillsides. Your trek can last between 2 and 8 hours, depending on how long it takes to find a family of gorillas to observe. Once you’ve found a troop, you’ll have one hour to marvel at their interactions and remarkable relationships.
Return to Bwindi Lodge to freshen up and relax before enjoying a hearty dinner.

06

Explote the Forest

Enjoy a leisurely morning at Bwindi Lodge before deciding on your day’s agenda. Set off on a morning or afternoon guided nature walk through the forest, spending more time appreciating the fascinating ecosystem and learning from your guide as you go.
The rest of your day can be spent relaxing on the deck with a cocktail, enjoying the peaceful setting, or indulging in a decadent massage to soothe any tired muscles.

Return to Entebbe

Enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading back to Kihihi Airstrip in time for your flight to Entebbe, where your adventure comes to an end.
