DAY

01 Kutali Camp

Start your adventure on a spectacular flight in from Lusaka to Jeki Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park followed by a 45min game drive from Jeki Airstrip to Kutali Camp. Kutali Camp is located under a stunningly cool Winterthorn forest on the secluded Kulefu Island in the remote eastern sector of the park. Kutali is a comfortable tented camp with all the luxuries one could wish for, but with the charm and ethos of a true seasonal bush-camp. With just 5 guest tents, catering for no more than 10 people in camp at once – each tent is carefully and expertly located for the best possible views across the Zambezi River Arguably the prettiest camp location in Zambia combines with a great variety of safari activities, all offered by some of the best guides in the region. Every day you will have a choice between any of the following activities: boat or canoe Safari, game drive, night Drive or a walking Safari.

Chose how to explore the Lower Zambezi at your own pace every day. With a choice between multiple activities every day, this camp is ideal for any ideal for each and every safari goer. You will be able to choose daily between boat or canoe safari, game drive, night drive or a walking safari.

DAY

04 Kafue

You will fly from Jeki Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi to Lufupa Airstrip in the Kafue. A wonderful flight taking in views of the Zambezi escarpment, the Kafue flats wetland system and the broad Kafue River. You will be met on arrival at Lufupa Airstrip by the Musekese Camp team and you will be driven the 250 metres from Airstrip to the Kafue River for your boat trip transfer South, crossing the river to the remote Eastern sector of the national park. Once our boat has crossed you to the Eastern bank of the River you will meet your last leg of the transfer into Musekese Camp. A safari game viewing vehicle will take you on a short drive into camp. The variety of activities on offer. The ‘feel’ of this truly remote area. The history of the camp and its ethos entrenched in exploration and conservation. Every day you will be able to chose from the following range of activities. Bird Watching, Boat Based Safari, Game Drive, Night Drive and visit the Musekese Conservation Base Camp.

05-06

Musekese

The wildlife viewing in and around Musekese is exceptional. Game numbers and the quality of sightings have improved year upon year thanks to increased protection and concerted habituation by Phil, Tyrone and the team. All the major predators are present, with leopard and lion very well represented. Elephant herds are always visible in the dry season months and the plains game is as numerous as it is varied from sable and hartebeest to zebra and puku (puku in their thousands!). Birding is top-class, with hundreds of species recorded in and around the Musekese area. Everyday you can choose between any of these activities: Bird Watching, Boat Based Safari, Game Drive, Night Drive and visit the Musekese Conservation Base Camp.

DAY

07 Return to Kafue

A leisurely and peaceful transfer to the airstrip, taking in the still waters of the Kafue River on route to the Lufupa Airstrip. Once across the river a short 250m drive gets you and your luggage to the airstrip. The end of your safari in the Kafue. A pleasant flight out of Lufupa Airstrip and across the vast Kafue flats floodplains into Lusaka for your onward connections.
