The Luangwa and Zambezi River course through two of Zambia’s premier National Parks. An unspoiled wilderness South Luangwa is known as the Valley of the Leopard where Norman Carr pioneered walking safaris. With endemic giraffe and wildebeest and endangered wild dogs, game viewing is second to none. The landscape of the Lower Zambezi National Park is entirely different. Its lush channels and ancient forests are a haven for elephants, predators and birdlife. It offers the greatest variety of activities in Zambia from game drives to canoeing, boat cruises, walking safaris and tiger fishing.

Named after the honeyguide bird, Time + Tide Nsolo plays host to some of the most striking and unusual bird species in South Luangwa National Park. Its five charming rooms stretch out on raised wooden platforms along a bend in the seasonal Luwi River. Each has a feather-top bed, open air en-suite bathroom, and a shady private deck offering views of a permanent river lagoon that teems with wildlife. Sited alongside an elephant path, there’s no end to the action around camp. Chuckle at warthogs and vervet monkeys while enjoying a cold local beer from the bar. Enjoy life’s simple pleasures with afternoon tea and cake in the spacious main lounge.
Spend 4 nights exploring the vast and game rich South Luangwa Valley. Each morning will begin with an early wake up call and optional tea and coffee before heading out on game drive or your morning walk. You will return to camp at around 11am in time for a communal brunch and leisure time. Meet again for high tea at around 3pm before setting out for your afternoon safari and return at dusk for pre dinner drinks and dinner under the stars.
Fly to the Lower Zambezi Valley after your morning activity via light aircraft. Upon arrival at Jeki airstrip your guide will meet you and transfer you onto the camp.Dotted along the riverbank, Time + Tide Chongwe is set at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers which wind through the forested valley, creating a haven for wildlife like lions, leopards and wild dog. Its nine classic tents are designed to make the most of what Mother Nature provided.
The small number of camps in Lower Zambezi National Park keep it free from overcrowding. The area is best known for its impressive variety of safari activities—enjoy game drives and walking safaris on land, take to the rivers on a boat cruise or canoeing safari, or to try your hand at tiger fishing.
This morning you will enjoy breakfast at the camp, before your air transfer back to Lusaka
