Comfortable yet classic, the camp offers the kind of intimacy with nature that can only be achieved by immersing yourself in the heart of the wild. Fall asleep to the sound of the flowing river and chuckles of hippo and wake-up with the dawn chorus to a spectacular African sunrise. Day 1: Hwange National Park

Arrive by light aircraft flight at Hwange National Park, here you will be met by your guide who will transfer you back to the lodge to settle in before your afternoon activity.

Capturing the ambiance of a mobile camp but with all the trimmings, Somalisa Expeditions offers with authenticity and comfort. Slightly more grounded with common areas on the land giving you a closer connection to the true wilderness experience, without sacrificing any luxury. The honest and genuine design of this camps truly grants you the space to explore Africa as it should be. Where guests make themselves at home in Serengeti-style tents with contemporary finishes.

Set within a private concession in the Hwange National Park, you can expect flexibility in all your activities, including walking safaris and game drives. Here you will be accompanied by  knowledgeable guides who possess a true passion for their trade.

Day 2: Hwange National Park

Wake up and enjoy a delicious continental breakfast before heading out for the morning safari. You will return in time for a delicious brunch.

Enjoy sitting out on the deck where the elephants come for a drink at the pool in large quantities, especially during the dry season.

Afternoon high-tea will be served with some refreshment before heading out on your afternoon safari. Sunset drinks and snacks to be enjoyed as a group at a waterhole. You will return later in the evening having enjoyed a night drive in search of some of the nocturnal creatures.

Dinner will be served in a communal table where everyone will share the days adventure together alongside the guides.

Day 3: Hwange National Park

Wake up and enjoy a delicious continental breakfast before heading out for the morning safari. You will return in time for a delicious brunch.

Day 4-7: Bumi Hills Lake Kariba

Morning safari and check out before continuing onto Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, you will arrive by charter flight and upon landing you will be met by your guide who will transfer you to the lodge which overlooks Lake Kariba

Set on a range of remote hills in one of Zimbabwe’s finest wilderness locations, Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is utterly captivating. With the Zambezi escarpment as its backdrop, this haven of serenity overlooks the eternal shimmering waters of Lake Kariba below. Not only is Kariba’s shoreline wildlife-rich, but the lodge’s proximity to Matusadona allows for the wildlife to freely move between the national park and Bumi Hill’s private concession, creating endless game-viewing opportunities, led by our passionate team of guides.

Activities include guided walking safaris, water activities, day and night game drives all led by our qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you. All activities complimentary.

Day 7: Mana Pools National Park

Morning safari and check out before continuing onto Mana Pools National Park, you will arrive by charter flight and upon landing you will be met by your guide who will transfer you to the lodge which overlooks the Zambezi River.

Zambezi Expeditions is a luxury tented camp, situated along the Zambezi River. Set under the shade of winter thorn and ebony trees, each tent has en suite bathroom facilities with hot bucket showers and the main area has charging facilities for your all-important cameras. With unique access to the Zambezi River, your days will be filled with adventurous canoeing safaris, tracking game along the shorelines by foot, and fishing for the iconic tiger fish. An absolute must, however, is a game drive in an open 4 x 4 along the flood plains and into the heart of the Mana Pools UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Activities include guided walking safaris, canoeing safaris and game drives all led by our qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you. All activities complimentary.

Day 8: Mana Pools National Park

Wake up and enjoy a delicious continental breakfast before heading out for the morning safari. Should the conditions be appropriate you will be able to enjoy a short walk or doing an encounter on foot with different wildlife species, with a particular focus on the elephants that have learned to raise on their back legs to reach the tree branches.

You will return in time for a delicious brunch.

Enjoy sitting out on the deck where the elephants come for a drink at the pool in large quantities, especially during the dry season.

Afternoon high-tea will be served with some refreshment before heading out on your afternoon safari. Sunset drinks and snacks to be enjoyed as a group at a waterhole. You will return later in the evening having enjoyed a night drive in search of some of the nocturnal creatures.
