Travel to Lake Manyara

Start your adventure on route to Lake Manyara, a true wilderness experience in diverse habitats. From its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Cradled in the boughs of an ancient mahogany forest, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge blends into the natural beauty of its breathtaking surroundings. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from &BEYOND Lake Manyara Tree Lodge who will take you on a game drive to the lodge The Park is famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions and the vast elephant families it was established to protect. The shores of the lake, encrusted with seasonal pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of waterfowl and migrant birds. Every day you will have a choice between any of the following activities: game drive, night drive, a walking Safari or mokoro (depending on water levels)

Travel to the Ngorongoro Crater

Take a scenic drive to the Manyara airstrip on the escarpment. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from &BEYOND Ngorongoro Crater Lodge who will drive you to your next lodge. The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, is home to more than 30 000 protected animals. It is an area of spectacular beauty and excellent game viewing, a truly unique safari destination in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater, once a gigantic volcano, nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth. Endangered black rhino are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephant wander the forests, male lion stalk the grasslands and flamingo crowd the soda lakes. Nowhere else on earth can you wake up among all the trappings of an elegant baroque châteaux that transports you into one of the most famous African landscapes. An eclectic blend of teak panelling, Victorian furnishings and whimsical African touches creates a sumptuous atmosphere that is as elegant and unique as the Crater itself. Wake up early to the views of the Crater, and after breakfast head off for a full day game drive on the Crater floor, abundant with wildlife -view Black rhino that are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants, big-maned lions stalking the grasslands, and bright pink flamingos crowding the soda lakes. Take a stroll on the rim of the Crater with your guide and relish sundowners with a sensational view (additional) or appreciate sublime wine at the Winestore, where a special tasting can be arranged (additional)
